Marginalia — Ancient literature and medieval books

Marginalia is a journal devoted to ancient literature, medieval books and everything that lives in the margins of the page: glosses, wax stains, the signatures of owners dead for centuries. We publish long-form pieces on manuscripts, the history of the book and bibliophilia, and we keep a small shop of one-of-a-kind pieces for collectors.

Start with the journal, browse the shop or check the events calendar. Every piece we sell is unique: once it's gone, it's gone.
